+Astreim i remember reading quotes from trent reznor about how funny it was watching people try to dance to march of the pigs (which is mostly in 7/8).
i understand why they stick to the steady beat. this is club music. it's just that it could be more than club music, too - if they took that extra step that they seem to be afraid of taking, or perhaps never really contemplated.
it's not just the timing. it's a lot of recycled ideas, a lot of cliches. i was just zeroing in on that because it's so obvious. and, they could still reach their potential if they approach it a little differently...
....but i get that that isn't what they're about, too.
