i just had an unexpected crash, and it's so hard to reconstruct your thought process on these chrome books that don't have hard drives, so i'm going to post this here so i'm able to reconstruct my thought process later on.

- i was ultimately removing noisetrade links from my blogs & from facebook and replacing them with lulu & smashwords links instead
- note that, when i finally file all of these notes, the option to upload flac dvd isos to payhip should be seriously considered.
- i wanted to archive at some point before i swung back to period 3. so, i decided that the best way to replace the links, systematically, was to archive. i started with facebook (and have at this point archived up to the end of 2016, meaning i have 2017-2020 to go. plus the entire music site.).
- i decided i would rebuild the sept-dec, 2016 period that i stopped at, for all blogs. it was a hole that was unintentionally left open.
- but if i was going to do that i should rebuild the 2014-2019 period of the dtk & travel blogs, first.
- i got done 02-03/13.
- and then i went back to embed playlists & fix broken links.
- music wise, i was listening to dso stuff and slowly working through cancelled june listings
- there is an email with a list of tabs from the last scheduled shut down, for eventually switch back to.
you're going to tell me that biden says stupid racist things but he doesn't really mean them.

that's exactly what trump's supporters think about him, too.
it's crazy times.

really.

and, we need to be very fucking careful with our collective brains and what the fuckers are trying to do to them, right now.

i'll try not to post this every other day.

it's mostly about the part at the very end.

but, at some point, we have to clue in, we have to realize this isn't random, this isn't accidental.

they are exactly the same.

no, really...

the similarities between biden and trump are actually rather staggering, when you look at the situation in a sober light, right down to the fact that they're both senile old white men that should be in homes, are prone to saying stupid (and often racist.) things and walk around in bad fake tans.

there's a lot of people out there that don't think very clearly, though, and will want to resort to a lot of partisan blather that doesn't really add up, from either direction. if you were to be fully rigorous, and compare them carefully on an issue-by-issue basis, biden is no doubt going to come out as the more conservative candidate, of the two. but, liberals are going to yell at me for being non-committal, and blame me for re-electing him.

so what if i do? do you want to start another war in iraq, or what? like, where's your head at? pull it out of your ass and look at the facts. there's no coherent argument that biden is better in any way, including on issues of race.

we went through this in 2012, when romney ran against his own health care plan. regardless of what the polls say early on, the incumbent is going to always have a major advantage when you line him up against his mirror reflection. because this is the actual sad truth about biden - if you give people the choice between voting for trump and voting for this quasi-trump named biden, they're going to pick the real thing. romney's years of experience didn't help him against obama, and biden's years of experience are unlikely to help him much against trump, in the end.

but, then, what does this parallel discourse about "misinformation" and "fake news" really suggest, then, in terms of where the united states is in regards to the state shutting down dissent?

see, you often see this argument come up in politics at high levels that politicians or parties don't want to do specific things due to fear it'll lower the bar and ultimately backfire. so, obama wouldn't go after bush for war crimes because he didn't want to get charged with war crimes - a decision that was quite ominous in hindsight, wasn't it? that's just one iteration of this basic argument, that has all kinds of isomorphisms everywhere in politics.

it seems like trump is the counter example of this - he follows no rules, because he has no foresight, no ability to see what the consequences of his actions are. when he tries, he's delusional, because trumpian logic is about dominance and submission rather than game theory. so, he can't see a foot in front of his face when he does things.

what's happened is that we've lowered the bar, here. if trump is going to attack his opponents for "fake news" and try to shut them down with force that way, it gives the democrats the green light to attack their opponents for "spreading misinformation", and shut them down, as well. it's maybe the first concrete example of trumpism asserting itself as a norm.

if you truly oppose political repression, you need to protect your brain from partisan drudgery and realize what's actually happening. it's not ok when your side does it, just because you don't like your opponents. there are deeper principles here that we need to get back to.

otherwise, trumpism wins - even if trump loses the election.
i'm doing this because i can, now.

here's the embed to all 75 records, inri000-inri074:

three later projects of unclear catalog numbers have been added to the end, as well.

note that my compromise to using youtube (without ads! ads are gross!) as a distribution mechanism is that the tracks are only available there in what is essentially radio quality. this is entirely intentional, as a push factor to take you to bandcamp to buy the files in cd quality. you might be ok about listening to an ad for socks to get "free music", you might think that's a fair exchange, as i get tossed a 1000th of a cent for it, but i find that distribution system to be revolting and want nothing to do with it. you can have it in shit quality for free - but if you want it in high quality, then please pay me for it.
exactly.

the actual truth is that you probably won't hear much from me this cycle. i have very little interest in the outcome of a biden v trump election, or think it's going to matter much who wins.

but, if you are legitimately concerned about a variety of issues on the left, please check out the following alternative voting choice:
if you want a tweet, here it is - "social media misinformation" is exactly the same fucking thing as "fake news".
see, i look at this article:

https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/11/politics/joe-biden-facebook-open-letter/index.html

and then i look at this article:

https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/10/politics/trump-campaign-cnn-poll/index.html

...both at cnn, within a few hours of each other....

...and what i conclude is that these candidates are essentially exactly the same, they're just trying to shut down their respective opposition on the appropriate sites. biden sees his opposition as "misinformation" on facebook and wants to shut that down; trump sees his as "fake news" on cnn and wants that shut down.

but, "fake news" and "social media misinformation" are just two different ways to say the same line of bullshit.

now, i know - you're going to tell me that scientific polling is reliable, and misinformation on facebook is not. but, if you can't see that that's a partisan statement, then i don't know what to tell you.

i don't want to make a blanket statement on the polling, but my substantive mathematical opinion is that i'm absolutely sure i could pull out some reasons to question the polling, as presented by cnn. if you trust the polling done by cnn because it's cnn, you're being pretty foolish, and you can trust me on that; they routinely fuck with their polling for ratings, if not for political reasons. they'll do things like modify the demographics to include "likely voters", or present national polling in replace of local polling. they do it every fucking day; don't tell me they don't, you don't know what you're talking about.

conversely, these attacks on what the fake left calls "misinformation" can be devastating for truthseekers across the spectrum, including actual leftists, which actual leftists will tell you. they seem to think that i'm a bot; of course, they don't actually, but they're treating me like one as a way to stifle my dissent. it's a way to disappear me, to erase my opinion, to put me down the memory hole. i promise you that if they get their way they'll start shutting down bernie supporters immediately by smearing them as "bots" pushing "misinformation".

so, which side am i on?

i'm on the side of free speech, dammit. fuck them both. they're exactly the same, and they both want to take away your rights.

will this be the election where the country finally sees it?
i got a little bit distracted yesterday by this playlist embedding feature on youtube, which has tended to be broken more often than not. i just realized it works again. i'm almost caught back up...

i was feeling great yesterday in the high humidity - finally - but i woke up to chapped lips from the fucking air conditioner upstairs, and i've been groggy and unfocused since. we're going to get a mild spike, but it's nothing like yesterday and that contraption might ruin it :(. but i want to wait until the sun comes down before i shower.

i've given it a few tries, and the red peppers are an acceptable change in taste. it's a little sweeter, but, really, it's the tomato that overpowers, in the mixture. so, it's less like i'm introducing something sweet in and more like i'm losing the bitter green pepper - which i actually like, but i'm more concerned about nutrients just right now. so, i'm going to stick with them for a while and see what it does in the long run...

how about the meds? it's been a week since i doubled the t-blockers, and i haven't notice a whole lot yet. it's got me wondering, though. what if this doesn't work? what if i'm doomed to detransitioning?

i never really experimented with homosexuality. i had one girlfriend, and the way that worked was that she went after me, and i relented at a weak point; i would have normally resisted her. but, i was just starting hormones, as a virgin. she talked me into it as an experiment; it wasn't supposed to be a long term relationship. but, i got very emotionally attached in a way that seemed to confuse her...she never really grasped the whole concept of transsexuality. i would have probably otherwise gone through with this years ago.

as it is, i've turned down a lot of girls since then (i don't tend to show up properly on the gaydar of women) and have long realized that i'm just not into them and am probably never going to be. but, i've never made an actual attempt to be a gay male.

if i'm stuck with these stupid things whether i like it or not....

let's hope it works and i can get to a surgeon sooner or later, so this isn't an actual issue. but, if i end up detransitioning, maybe i can try the whole gay dude thing out for a bit, at least. maybe it's worth a try. i dunno.
