iran has been there for 2500 years. trump has roughly two years left in office. if he's not going to remove them by force, and it's clear that he doesn't want to, they have no reason to do anything except wait for him to go away, and he doesn't get it.

the united states has seen it's ability to enforce it's will on iran decrease as it has refused to act, allowing other powers the ability to strengthen iran's defenses. iran still stands no chance, it's just harder now than it was. this fucking around looking for peace with terrorists has just increased the financial and human cost of eventual, inevitable and necessary regime change.

there is not going to be a deal with iran.

regime change remains inevitable. the united states should hurry up and get it over with.
the mock hanging is considered free expression in canadian law.

this issue is apparently too complicated for most people to understand. the very narrow category of street activity considered to be restricted in canada has explicitly to do with realistic threats to the peace that are directed at identifiable groups. it has nothing to do with "respect".

the only groups we have seen breaking these laws are palestinian and iranian aligned groups, but the police won't charge them because they're islamicist nazis.

canadians have no obligation whatsoever to be "respectful" during protest activity, and i reject that suggestion as an attack on free expression. however, public protests that realistically target minority groups with harm are a threat to public order that the canadian parliament has considered concerning enough to pass laws to restrict, but the police refuse to enforce those laws and instead continue to let violent muslim groups roam the streets unchecked.

i'm also going to need to make some lentil soup tonight.

how is my weight loss plan going?

the answer is according to plan. i weighed myself over 74 kg after that last caesar salad on the 20th.

- may 19th-20th: 1st cycle 14 caesar salad, with added pickles, green olives, jalapenos grilled chicken.
- may 21st-22nd: two cans of mushroom soup with cheese, bacon and spices and four slices of buttered toast. weight at start: 73.45
- may 23rd-24th: 2nd cycle 7 garden salad with olives and jalapenos. weight at start: 72.45.

- may 25th-26th: 1st cycle 8 garden salad with olives and jalapenos. weight at start: 71.75

- may 29th-30th: 2nd cycle 14 caesar salad, with added pickles, green olives, jalapenos grilled chicken. weight at start: 69.

so, that's already 5 kg, which is 11 pounds, in about 10 days. it's the slowest and most methodical but also the surest way i know to lose weight: don't eat until you go down a kg, repeat and stick to it until you reach your goal.
i'm going to take a flip back to the coffee table book this evening, so i'll be updating a few things that will look old and that's what i'm doing. i just want to make sure i don't skip anything. specifically, i want to make sure that i don't miss putting anything in the right box. this listing of things will help me clean up and organize a lot of the clutter i have sitting out from months of buying things in boxes and other packaging, which i really haven't thrown out yet at all. i haven't decided what i want to do with any of it. i wouldn't throw out piles of paper bags, for example, as i might be able to find something to do with them.

i'm waiting for some pohb funds to come in tomorrow morning and then for a couch to come in by the end of the week. i will need to make a purchase at canadian tire of more caulking, cement and some other things to finish some issues outside the landlord isn't responding about regarding. he's kind of run out of time, now.

i've decided what i'm going to do is compile a box of packaging per room, so that each room has one box worth of boxes of packages, tucked away under a sink or a desk somewhere. so, i will need to sort through this mess and organize it in that way. the coffee table book will let me catalog that as i am doing it, which will help me organize it.

the place tends to look like condensed mass trying to escape into an alternate universe, but i know exactly where everything is because i neurotically catalog and organize everything, even if it tends to look like the absolute triumph of the second law of thermodynamics over existence.
i think i can otherwise get the shape of the room set up over the next few days. it's going to require a lot of temporary moving of things. it's a necessary process.
i'm starting to set up my listening room and the basic fact is that i want my couch back. no shit.

there's a couch in here, but it doesn't smell so good and i'm on the brink of dragging it out.
