trump ultimately is in the construction business. people forget that. he benefits from low cost labour; he's the guy signing the checks that steal people's jobs.

so, this is political. is he right?

i doubt it. the number of people that are mean about immigration is lower than the number that aren't, both on the right and left.

the democrats should avoid trying to compete over who can be more brutal on immigration. rather, i think a lot of people want the underlying economic issues, which are very real, addressed, rather than mean policies to attack desperate people.

a lot of these migrants need to go home and fix their own shithole countries. america can and should help the shithole countries in the form a massive financial plunging, in ways that actually help, rather than uphold some banana dynasty or drug cartel or something.

if you address the push factors, you undo the pull factors. everybody would rather live at home.
