remember: i don't have a driver's license. i've never driven a vehicle before. that was a very purposeful decision i made at a young age, and i've never questioned it.
when i was young - under 25 - it was really very explicitly about the climate. cars are ruining the planet; therefore, i don't want a driver's license. even practicing in the parking lot made me sick to my stomach.
nowadays, it's actually more about my health - i'd rather walk or bicycle, because i'd rather get the exercise. electric vehicles may clear the air, and i'd encourage everybody else to get one, yes. but, they're still going to make people fat and lazy. that's a continuing problem with automobile culture that reducing emissions doesn't resolve.
so, i'm going to support the initiative, for altruistic reasons, absolutely - i've been calling on this for years, and i'm not going to walk away from it, now.
but, i still don't want anything to do with the automotive industry, in any way, at all. sorry.
