the novamin sensodyne i'm using is .2299% sodium fluoride, which is .104% fluoride. this is higher than their other products. the pronamel is .1450% sodium fluoride, and the recommendation is .1-.15%.

rather, it seems like i may benefit from stannous fluoride rather than sodium fluoride. they used to put stannous fluoride in toothpaste, but replaced it with sodium fluoride, supposedly due to cosmetic concerns. but, the sodium fluoride is not considered effective against the kind of gumline cavities i'm picking up.
