the literature refers to several "provincial water quality monitoring stations", and i sort of assumed they were set up close to intake points, but that's actually not true - or at least not true for my own water supply. as i'm in the west of windsor, i thought i'd probably get water from either the riviere canard or the turkey creek spots, but it turns out that there's only one intake spot for windsor, lasalle & tecumseh and it's upstream from the dump points in detroit:
