well, that's a role that, in the next few years, is going to require the awarding of a lot of contracts to construction firms, and canada has not stepped back from outsourcing or indicated any willingness to. it's easy to construct the concern: that putting somebody with his background in this role is going to end with what is essentially a handout to foreign construction firms, or to investors in the arab world, in general.
he might not do that, of course.
but, the point is that he has a conflict of interest.
