i want to clarify that my argument was that blue states are leaning sanders and red states are leaning clinton, so why didn't i argue that hawaii is a blue state and therefore should lean sanders?

at the time, i decided that this pattern was only going to be applicable in the lower 48, and i'd have to look at something else for hawaii. so, i looked at the data for samoa. in hindsight, i think that was silly; i shouldn't have treated hawaii differently, i should have just treated it like a blue state.
