so, what happened?
well, here are some more likely suspects, that actually have advanced cyberweapons systems:
- china
- israel
- germany
in truth, the list of potential suspects is quite small. both the saudis and the turks have the cash, but they outsource everything and the general view is that they don't know how to use most of the technology they buy. the iranians and russians are in the technological dark ages. and, the scandinavian countries just wouldn't..
oh, sweden. you wouldn't. would you?
if sweden is a suspect, canada is too.
but, no - those three are the only countries that are really capable of doing what's being accused of the russians, and that might have actually done it.
but, that's not how you see the world. or how you want to see the world.
we'll have to see what develops, but it's probably just intended as a distraction. i mean, i guess there's some chance that the israelis might have had a secret network running that was designed to tripwire into a russian fall, but that's fairly exotic. i'm calling bullshit, flat out. and, i'm consequently more interested in what gets done under the heavy cover of these wild accusations, which anybody that knows anything about the state of technology in russia knows are laughable.
