it's a matter of time before the left returns from the ashes, to rise like a phoenix from the ashes of capitalism, and stripped of it's corruptions and impurities. the death of the contemporary left, globally, just means that when it returns it will have no baggage left to deal with, no confusions, no co-opted structures, to start. it will begin anew.
