there's piles of studies on this, and it's the reality of the situation.
it's not some irreversible racial characteristic or something, but it is the reality of manufactured consent in a neo-liberal society: brown people vote for brown people because they're brown, and they do that because they're taught to do it.
and, yes, that does create a problem in a party that is ideological, when it gets flooded by new members in a specific community - because they're not voting on policy, but on skin colour.
in the end, the party gets a representative that doesn't reflect it's values, and won't fight for them, because the meetings were co-opted by identity politics.
but, as i stated before: you need to blame yourself. you didn't organize well enough. you didn't show up. you let this happen.
