i don't see what conversion therapy has to do with free speech at all, and i don't think this ruling would have been published if the court was talking about any other comparable product. 

is selling snake oil as medicine free speech in the united states? no. there are regulatory oversights to address medicines that don't work, or are harmful.

conversion therapy is both ineffective and extremely harmful and there is a federal ban against it here in canada. the united nations lists it not as a medical practice but as a form of torture.

it's medically comparable to exorcism. that's a direct comparison.
