the heat randomly turned on this morning. it's cold out, but not more so than other days, recently. it's actually welcome, as i've been cold down here in the morning lately, and don't want to ask him to turn on the heat in mid june (especially considering that he seems to be running the a/c during parts of the day), but it is unusual, and is just making me wonder what exactly is going on up there. i mean, yeah, it's june, but i'm in a basement with black drapes over all of the windows during an unseasonably cold snap; he's at least on ground level, so he should be getting sunlight in his unit. there's no way around it: it's weird.
anyways, what am i doing?
i was initially going to work through this huge list of shows from may 10-23 and then move on to the next pile, but i think this is a recipe for endless frustration, as i'll never really catch up. further, what am i doing next, once i've caught up? well, i need to actually do the paperwork for the four lawsuits and i need to get back to the liner notes. so, i'm going to do something else instead: i'm going to just convert all of the facebook listings into bandcamp or soundcloud sites in tabs, and then try to keep up on it daily. then, i can listen to these hundreds of records as i'm actually working. it's going to start off slow, but it should be a better way to multitask in the long run.
i haven't made any calls yet. i dunno. soon. it's a big deal for me, picking up the phone. i hate doing it; i'd rather just communicate over email.
anyways. last night, i got through the list of tabs i had open, which was may 10-23. now, i need to get through the last two weeks, and i'm going to try to make the process faster. i'm going to need to look a little bit ahead as well, before i get back to the writing.
