is paying post-secondary athletes a good idea?

not remotely. what a waste of resources that demonstrates a skewed level of priority.

i'm going to make a different proposal: sports should be banned from universities altogether. i never wanted to have to deal with jocks at school, and would have been happier if they weren't there at all.

let the leagues fund their own systems.

and, let's spend that money on things that are important, like scientific research.
