we really don't have a history of slavery in canada.

and, i'm not going to argue that the genocide that america carried out against it's indigenous population is in some way comparable to what happened up here. it isn't.

but, our great collective sin is our ongoing colonization of the native population - something most of us don't really know the real extent of, or just how bad it really is. when you ask us directly, we claim we don't care. but, our apathy is a reflection of our ignorance.

so, yeah, i don't like receiving death threats. but, i understood i was dealing with a legacy of control and abuse - and that i was talking with somebody that is so brainwashed that they were barely capable of understanding what they were saying.
