i just spent a fair amount of effort and money converting my dishes (cup, various sized bowls, plates) from plastic and ceramic to borosilicate lead-free glass. i think i should have done this a long time ago. i'll go over it. i may buy some more but it will be extra.

i have bought

- 6 tall 550 ml glass cups for water and soy, mostly
- two thin 750 ml glass vases i intend to use as juice and pop cups, because good luck finding glass glasses that big
- four glass 20 ounce stemless wine glasses
- two glass shot glasses
- three 16 ounce glass containers, with lids
- three 20 ounce glass bowls
- three 70 ounce glass bowls
- four 10 inch glass plates

i'm being as thorough as possible. i may still purchase sets of 17 ounce or 33 ounce bowls, 55 ounce bowls or very large four quart bowls, as well as 650 ml vases and smaller 250 ml glasses, but they would be extra, and not replacements for my existing dishes, which are 10" plates, 8" plates, 20 ounce bowls, 70 ounce bowls and plastic cups. i'm not replacing the 8" plates because i only use them to cut things and for loose items like toast or cheese. i'm replacing the bowls, plates and cups due to the high amounts of fruit acids and vinegar-based dressings in my diet.

i have some 1500 lumen bulbs coming in the mail as well.

that was another weekend of splitting headaches, and i'm annoyed because all i can smell is candle wax. but i can certainly smell it now. i don't know what set me off, but i need to adjust, and i'm setting up a system of fans and heaters in here to make sure this doesn't happen again.

that took much of the weekend because these items are hard to search and the stores want to aggressively sell you on bad deals. i made sure everything was microwavable and marketed as lead free.

i'm addressing as many potential causes of these headaches as i can identify. this is overdue. when it's done, it's done, and i can get back to my art. but this place is definitely starting to take a more normal shape.
