as an aside, i have to give canada's indigenous people a round of applause for understanding that the indigenous group in the region is the jews. this exercise in learning basic history has evaded the attention of the bulk of the fake left, who bafflingly will stand in front of an audience and claim the palestinians are an indigenous group, despite the history being readily available and uncontroversial. christopher hitchens would have insulted their intelligence to their face, and been right to do it.

some of the indigenous jews were expelled by the romans. most of them converted to christianity shortly after that event. arabs invaded the region after the 7th century, and mostly later than that (9th-10th centuries). however, the region was majority christian until after the collapse of the crusades in the 14th and 15th centuries.

not only are palestinian arabs not indigenous, they're barely as old as european settlement in the new world. they're a recent invader.
