listen, i was no supporter of mr. obama. i remember posting long-winded rants in early 2008 about how the country was taking a giant leap rightwards by electing him as a democrat.

i thought he should have run as a republican - which seems like a quaint idea now, even if i insist it's historically grounded.

but, he sure does seem shockingly competent, and a real breath of fresh air, when contrasted against the options we had in 2016, and the even worse options we have now.
