this is a pretty nasty report. which means they're doing their job. which means that industry hasn't found a way to silence them yet.

of course, the substance of the report will be ignored. instead, the department will be restructured and a bunch of people will get fired for embarrassing the fuhrer. a couple of people may even end up dead (not exaggerating). in a few years time, there will be a similar report that praises investors and oil companies for their role in building sustainable development, while scientists out of the country gnash their teeth.

this is the topsy turvy world of the petro state that is canada. all hail our dark, pungent and rather sticky overlord.
