no.

i need recovery from the migraine.

hopefully, it's just a nap.

i'm wasting days, but what can i do? this is medical. i had a headache for hours. i do feel better, but i'm drained, and i need sleep.

you know, i'm not sure what i meant to say, there. i didn't think i was in aphasia, but that was some nonsense, alright.

i spent the morning cleaning. i had to stop to eat. still no response.

i want to get the temperature down in here and the air turned over so i can turn the heat on. it's not ideal, but it's the consequence of the air and the smoke - i either need the windows open or the heat on. i can't keep the windows closed with the heat off. not long term, anyways. it just gets awful in here. the windows will probably be open all night. and, it's going to be cold tonight. it's necessary.

i've got some typing done.  i want to get a lot more done....

that was quick. i dunno.

i gotta clean down here. i suspect they're to get to me. the windows are open...

aura hit on wednesday, this week.

thursday last week.

friday the previous week.

it doesn't seem as bad. or, at least, not yet. it's just blurry. flashing lights. it's a mushroom trip without the buzz, basically.

guess i need to stop for a bit. fuck. i'm going to go right for the aspirin, this time...

yeah.

if you look at the polling across the board:

1) the liberals are down 2-3 points from a higher than expected result, but a result that was nonetheless around the historical average. the liberals usually get around 40% and are currently polling closer to 36%.

2) the conservatives are down 1-2 points from a lower than expected result that was also near historic lows. the conservatives usually get around 35% and are currently polling around 30%.

3) the ndp are down 2-3 points on what was a lower than expected result that was also near historic highs. the ndp usually polls around 15% and is currently polling around 17%.

4) the bloc quebecois, however, are are up 2-3% on historic lows. they usually poll around 10% or higher, and are currently polling at around 7% - but got under 5% in the last election.

5) the greens are also up 2-3% on what was an expected but disappointing result. they're currently polling around 7%, which is a historic high. they polled under 4% in the last two elections.

neither the bloc nor the greens are going to win the next election.

but, what's happening is that the ndp are completely botching their opportunity to take advantage of weakening liberal support on the left; rather, they are also bleeding support on their left.

the conservatives are probably just dying, and are otherwise just floating through space via inertia. how many of them die in the next two years probably determines if they fall under 30% or not.

if the bloc see a resurgence in quebec - and the niqab issue will not be the factor. quebeckers will not base their vote on this. - it could push the liberals into a minority, where they will need to rely on ndp or potentially green support, if they can finally pull it together a little.

but, the outcome of the next election does not seem in question: the liberals are quite obviously going to win.

yesterday was a wash.

i had to verbally close the string of discs i just finalized for the vlog, and it took me all morning. then, i spent the afternoon bitching with the landlord, who tried to create a situation out of nonsense and force an entry into the apartment due to an emergency based on an email from 2015.

their only defence is an inability to read. as half true as that may be, i do not believe that this is the important factor, in context. they were just trying to manufacture a conflict.

i was previously providing them with the benefit of the doubt. i had to, in a deficit of evidence. but, they've proven that they're ridiculously dishonest - as i've proven that i'm brutally honest. i no longer believe a word they say. and, they no longer deserve the benefit of the doubt. this is going to have a large effect on how i behave. and, they may be in for a set of surprises, as my previously overly reasonable behaviour becomes that much less flexible and that much more intent on enforcing literal interpretations of the law.

everybody gets a chance with me. they blew theirs. and, i'm not nice to people that cross me or demonstrate themselves as dishonest. it's the trait i dislike the most in people, and the one i have the least patience for. the liars of the world can fucking choke.

i should get something or other done this morning. but if i don't get an update on my case, i'm going to have to start looking at contingency options.

here's the thing: i will obey a court order, because i need to protect my stuff, and because there's not any point of being dragged out by the sheriff. but, i'm still thinking i have a good chance of winning the case. so, i'm not going to pay for storage or get out until i know.

i hope the judge gets a response out soon, whatever it is. obviously, i want to stay here, until they leave....

(and, they told me over email that they are in fact selling for $500,000, which is kind of a joke - i'm not qualified to appraise, but the place is no doubt worth half that. i lived in a $500,000 house for a while as a late teen in a much hotter market, and this isn't it. am i going to have to wait for them to cut the price? for how fucking long?)

....but if i must go, please tell me asap - and give me as much time as possible to deal wtih it.

i wouldn't drag it out, either. if i'm told i have to be out by jan 1st, i'll try and leave by dec 1st. i want as much time as i can get. but that doesn't mean i'm here until the last day.

anyways.

i'm going to get a smoothie and get back to what i was doing, which was prepping the wave of stuff over 2002. 2001 is completely finished. if i can get 54 done today, i think i'm doing well. i need to ship 56, 58, 60, 62 and three more in the late 60s or low 70s. so, i'm getting to the end of this, here, too.

if i get until jan 1st or dec 1st, i'll have to finish the order first. if it's earlier than that, i don't know what i'm doing. and, if i don't get a response at all in the next 48 hours, i'm going to have to start to panic.

this is disgusting.

what a fucking piece of shit this guy is.

this guy used to be an important behind the scenes guy in the liberal party.

i don't believe people have inalienable rights to religious expression at all - i think it's society's fundamental responsibility to ensure that religious beliefs are kept in line with more substantive civil liberties, and i think it was an error to include religious liberty in the charter because it creates this whole mess of contradictions that shouldn't be contemplated.

consider bountiful, for example. the idea that these people have some kind of right to wed children to old men is not something that the court should even be contemplating. that's not a defence that should be available to them. what's disgusting is that the law provides this as an out.

the constitution also provides an argument for practitioners of fgm and all other types of misogyny and i think this fact is lamentable. if i could take a magic marker to our laws, that "and religion" at the end of 2a would be the first thing i'd scratch out.

when these issues come up, and they are legitimate rather than contrived as per the previous examples, there is always something else underlying them. and, what's happening in quebec is no different. this should not be thought of as an issue of religion. rather, the state is targetting a gender and an ethnic group.

people do have the inalienable right to individual expression, so long as they're not fucking bothering anybody. and, wearing a goddamned scarf doesn't fucking bother anybody.

suppose that a southern state passed a law saying that restaurant owners could deny services based on skin colour, and the president shrugged and said "states' rights!".

that's exactly what trudeau is doing with the niqab thing.

jagmeet singh must cut his beard.
i actually think trudeau has made it clear that he's more of an advocate of decentralized power than he is of strong federalism - which is something that many of the people that voted for him may not have realized, given the views of his immediate liberal party predecessors, granted, but is well documented, including within some of his answers in the debates.

i remember cringing over this. in his answers, he sounded like a stereotypical conservative.

and, here we have it.

and, as usual, this guy is ass backwards - this is one of the things that is going to hurt trudeau, once people figure it out. the son of pierre embraces devolution? has the universe gone mad?

the ndp should be the favourite to win right now, but they got defeated by a hostile take over and won't be competitive; they'll lose seats.

it's going to be a "none of the above" type election. everybody will see their vote totals go down. and, everybody might even lose vote share, with the exception of some protest parties that take the difference.
