if one wants to argue that the inflation is due to policies made by the president, that doesn't actually matter. the responsibility still falls on congress. perhaps an argument could be made that republican members of congress enabled the president to enact those policies, voted for them or did not vote against them; insofar as that may be true, it would be an evasion of congressional responsibility, and the correct outcome is for those republican members to be held accountable by voters for enabling the president.

members of congress cannot be allowed to blame it on the president and the media should aggressively go after members of congress that try to shift the blame for their own negligence to the president.
if americans are frustrated by inflation, the correct thing for them to do is to take it out on their congressional representative and vote for members of congress that run on party platforms to pass bills in congress to address it.

it has essentially nothing to do with the president.
