i wanted to finish compiling the cd data into one list before i ate and did not succeed. i am stopping to eat some guac, which is a lower caloric meal in comparison to the massive salads i've been eating. it could clear back to the 145 range quickly, which would be good.
i did manage to update the bottom portion of the music list with multiple lists from 2006, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001 and even one from 1999. the 1999 list explicitly uses the musiccat program and if it isn't the oldest list it's close to it. i also added links to an assortment of places where i did reviews and analysis from 2002-2026, including:
- the koala oversight committee (2026-)
- the np list (2022-2026)
- the dkdghfhjfdhfchlfa youtube site
- the concert review list
- the deathtokoalas blog
- the travel blog
- the deathtokoalas youtube account (since taken over by the koalas and archived at the deathtokoalas blog)
- the appspot site
- a facebook page for reviews (down, archived)
- peanutgalleries.org (down, archived)
- chat.carleton.ca/~jparent2 (down, archved)
- the original 2002 music web (long archived)
the pi-centered local music web archive will consolidate all of this into a single multimedia project focused around the list i am building.
i still need to get lists for the facebook page and for the peanut galleries archives before i move on, but i'm stopping to eat first.
there was so much data that my chromebook was slowing down, so i split this in two. there is the initial page and an overflow page:
the peanut galleries review list will add a number of vinyl only releases that got inadvertently dropped from the list and are awaiting proper cd upgrades as well as some dad cds that got forgotten about. i have cleared out most of my vinyl. i don't listen to it; i find it sounds blurry. i don't like the digital distortion, probably because i've done production and understand it. i prefer clean, crisp digital audio. it would be nice to find a full list from about 2011 but i'm not sure i will. it was really review-centric.
the facebook archives were for reviews of new releases from about 2009-2012 and was quite extensive.
