it's starting to look like the starlink systems in ukraine - which are very important to ukraine - got hacked.
the russians are technologically backwards. it's been a few years, so maybe they've finally completed the project of removing windows from sensitive russian computer systems. they had a backdoor to washington everywhere. the americans could practically write their policies remotely from the pentagon.
individual russian hackers are always a suspect.
but the russian government is actually not a likely suspect as they are not very good at hacking, despite the propaganda to the contrary in the west. the most likely suspect is in fact the chinese.

it was a mistake to isolate the russians, when they were leaning towards western integration. it pushed them towards the chinese, which is a harmful outcome for everybody, including them. we walked into a trap set by beijing in ukraine. it was not putin's preferred policy but we forced him into it.
the focus should be on reversing this mistake and realigning the russians towards the west.
the chinese are the adversary. they can't be invited.

the point of building a relationship with the russians is to isolate the chinese. otherwise, there's no value in doing so.
the americans should stress strictly bilateral discussions with moscow that explicitly exclude china.
if the russians will not agree to that, then the only possible outcome is continued war, one way or another. there should instead be an attempt to build relations with putin's likely successor. he's not getting younger.

it's the chinese sending weapons to iran.
it's the chinese sending weapons to the barbarians in yemen.
it's the chinese manipulating the situation in ukraine, and causing economic problems in the western hemisphere.

trump doesn't seem to understand that the enemy in these wars he's fighting is ultimately china. he doesn't seem to grasp the nature of the proxy wars he's fighting. he doesn't understand the board.

the chinese policy is to destabilize the region to increase exports to europe.
it's not helpful to including the chinese, who are a belligerent and dominantly responsible for the situation. the chinese would be expected to intentionally derail and frustrate the talks in an attempt to prevent an outcome.

the reason we have a green party is to force the ndp to behave. they're not listening; they're misbehaving. punish them for it.
it's clear it doesn't matter much. you're going to get a right-wing government, regardless of who wins the election. but if you throw the ndp out, you force them to listen and rebuild.

no.
throw them out for supporting exporting gas in 2026. that's unacceptable. make them learn. force them to change.
ndp supporters should vote green this cycle to get rid of this guy. tell him to run for the liberals.
