i don't want this machine on the internet. at all. are the processors so fast now that winliting xp-64 is a waste of time? or should i just go with 7?
i'll be dualbooting for the near future, anyways. i can experiment a little.
yeah. this is the way to go.
i don't want to move the tower; the new desktop won't have four hds and 3 optical drives in it. but, i'll take the board (it's a p5b: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5BVM/specifications/) with the ram in it, and take the video card, too. that means i'll need to get a microform to replace it.
this board has the ps/2 set up i want, it has two rj-45s and it doesn't have wireless. it's actually ideal.
i'm loyal to asus; their boards just don't break. i'm hoping i can find a barebones with the board i want and swap them out, then fix them both up.
