i went to the show tonight and found it a bit of a bust. the best way to put it is that the band has a diverse discography, and they decided to focus on material that they felt was more marketable. this was actually probably predictable. the only reason it felt wrong was that the more abstract material is so much stronger, and is so heavily weighted in their discography.

had i thought it through more carefully, i should have expected what i got out of a half hour set.

i need to focus on some editing over the next few days - and while i didn't undersleep this week, i'm also feeling the need to catch up on it to deal with whatever it is that my body is fighting off. i may be quiet for a few days.
