in all seriousness...

it should be clear at this point, now that we know that there was no actual civil war in syria and the conflict was being driven entirely by foreign terrorist organizations, largely propped up by saudi financing, that canada made a terrible mistake in severing diplomatic relations with the assad government, whom it should have been supporting in it's fight against international terrorism.

it is long overdue that canada re-establish official channels with assad and work within the channels of the united nations to restore the rule of law in a reconstituted syria with a new constitution.

i would call on the liberal party to take the lead on that issue.

unfortunately...

the liberals are supposed to do better than this.
