the state should be facilitating options to ensure that high risk populations are kept out of high-risk scenarios. people shouldn't have to face routine decisions recast as life or death choices. that's what the state can actually do.
and, that is all that ever could be done, as it remains the only solution, right now.
we can have fun logic debates and assert our desire for all kinds of absent rights, but at the end of the day, that's all there is to it - you have to ensure you do not get sick, and you have to understand risks and be fearful, as you properly analyze actual reality.
