you don't have to agree with me completely; it's ok if you don't.
the united states is unusual in the modern world in it's continued embrace of retributive justice. it's a broader social issue in your country, and we're not likely to see eye-to-eye on it. you're likely to want to pluck mine out over it, too.
but, let's all sit down and read through some historical approaches to the question "what is justice?" before we go back to yelling for blood on the streets like a bunch of barbarians. i'm sure we can find some kind of consensus...
