well, i reject the premise - it's what the tory media is trying to push to split the vote (which is a poor understanding of the situation, to begin with - there's not going to be vote splitting in this election, the conservatives are not competitive enough in urban spaces right now for that to happen). but the signal is not there. and, i don't think he looked very good in the debates, either.
