- ticket sales for american performers of any types, including american sports teams. for example, a taylor swift concert ticket in toronto or a canadiens-bruins hockey game in montreal would have a tariff surcharge.
- salaries of american athletes playing in canada. so, an american signed to a toronto sports team would have to forfeit a percentage of their salary as a tariiff/tax.
i would support going ahead with a carbon tax on american imports, that levies higher taxes on dirtier goods, whatever they are.
the idea is you tax things you don't like.
but don't tax food. that makes the poor pay for the rich, and it's about time that working people on both sides of this artificial border stood up to that and said "enough".
