there's some refineries in new brunswick and there's oil in newfoundland. that's a better source for eastern canada.
we need refinery capacity for national security and we should have built it eons ago. but canadians should be trying to shift off oil. the better idea is building more hydro plants.
in the long run, newfoundland is a more practical, economical and environmental source for the minimal oil canada will continue to require, post-transition, than alberta. let the western shitheads starve in their debt.
