he's right - he needs something to whip his base up. he may have no real future except dying of old age (or cancer), but his party is fucked if he can't get a vote driver.
trump wants to do everything himself. his capacity is not always high, but it's like him to not want to leave this to the next person. however, he's really going to have to leave this to the next person, who is going to have to rebuild, and to figure it out.
