there is a $45000 tax exemption in the budget for sales of original works. this does not help struggling artists, it's just a hand out to the wealthy. there is no money in federal arts grants. 

i would call on wealthy canadian artists to donate any tax exemptions they gain in the budget to artists that need grants in order to exist.
