getting confused about the facts here is not helpful. the most likely path to fascism in europe right now is not in opposition to migration but in support of it. the nazis were pro-muslim and restricted emigration but they didn't restrict immigration from anywhere (if you wanted to move to germany in 1935, which you probably didn't). they were keynesians, in terms of economics. they were in many and most ways a bourgeois liberal party, they just had a weird racial ideology over top of their bourgeois liberalism. this conflation of the historical european far right as being the same thing as the contemporary american right is drastically, historically, desperately wrong. it is the contemporary left in europe - parties like the lfi - that bear the stronger resemblance to historical european fascism, and they are openly cynical in their desire to get far right elements to vote for them.
