here are some pictures of the side entrance:
this is the staircase leading down from the side door. it's a small landing. i will likely only keep a small shoe rack and a small shelf on it. those boxes will get used for this or that, but right now they're blocking the door.
this window can never open because there are marijuana smokers next door. the blackout curtains keep the heat in and the cold out.
right now, these are emptied boxes waiting to move behind the furnace door. i want to get a small couch for here. the lamp was left here. i bought the table as a speaker table years ago.
same, a step back.
i bought the shoe rack. the hat and gloves rack was here when i moved in. i bought that light used in 2017.
the hat and gloves rack was here when i moved in.
this painting was one of several left in the unit by the last tenant. i found most of the paintings to not be so great but i like this style and i'll keep this:
these are boxes for small appliances and other kitchen items. i will put them all in one bigger box, like the fridge box. they're currently sitting on an old tv stand that will eventually be used for vacuum accessories.
this is the furnace door, which is sealed with tape and a chain lock. there's a bag of plastic bags and a bag of the new cloth grocery bags.
this is another painting that is in a style i like and will keep. it's a part of a five part horse painting. i will not keep the other parts.
this apartment is big but it's weirdly designed and there is nowhere for me to put my big coffee table, except here, as overflow for the ghetto hutch spice rack. the blue bin is full of spices. those coffee containers are reusable but i may end up recycling them.
when i moved to windsor, one of the last things i collected was a computer i had lent a friend with a carrying case that got destroyed by her male cat. i couldn't get the smell out and threw it away. when i was staying on windsor ave (the place before this one), i found this bag, which replaces the one i had to throw away. it is hanging on some push pins.
i am using the compost program in ontario but i put the compost bag in the freezer. this is the catch thing you're supposed to put in your sink and which is a bug and rat magnet. i'm using it for pill bottles.
my too-big coffee table from the other direction:
the console table from the other direction, and a two tier coffee table that was left here. it's also too big for the front of the couch but is the right size for beside the couch. that lamp was left by the evicted tenant upstairs and i pulled it off the curb.
i will read on the listening couch. with coffee. that box has small pieces of wood to be used for blocking holes.
