conversely, the white kids are waving signs that say nothing at all, things like "liberty, egality, fraternity" or "mai 1968" or "gen z est agis". that just says "i'm young and rebellious and trying to be cool", in addition to "i paid attention in history class". which is good, don't get me wrong. american kids don't pay attention in history class. but it's not "i can't afford to feed my kids and am going to feed them you instead". in fact, these kids seem to be pretty well taken care of, from the looks of things.

the union members are just chanting union slogans.

the actual agitators are very clear and the evidence is very clear: this is about cultural identity. it's about anger at feeling alienated, due to a combination of discrimination and not wanting to fit in. there's an underlying issue of a failure of integration, of poverty, of opportunistic criminal networks and of a fake left trying to take advantage of a lumpenproletariat generated by bad immigration policies. it's anger at the society, anger at secularism, anger at liberalism and a desire to burn it all down and assert a theocracy. it's not acting rationally because it's not rational.

that's what the evidence says.

you can see it and understand it or choose willful blindness instead but don't turn the tables around. don't tell me there's no evidence of migrant anger in the riots and blame it on inflation. there's no evidence for that. that's bullshit; it turns the facts and the evidence on it's head.
